12 More Weeks!

May 30, 2012 - Well we have entered the third trimester! We are at 28 weeks now with 12 more to go...if we go full term.

We had another ultrasound yesterday and baby girl is looking good. My placenta has moved from 1 centimeter to now 1.8 centimeters away from my cervix which is a good thing. I am still on my precautions, but it is looking positive. The ultrasound tech said that we will probably have to get another ultrasound done, but she is pretty sure that it should be fine by the next one and we should be good to go! YEAH! I hope so...keep your fingers crossed that all goes well. We see the doctor Friday, so we will know more then too.

Here is the latest picture of our little girl!

I have to also show you this picture of her leg. To me it looks as though she is preparing herself for wearing high heels! This little girl is totally my daughter!

26 Weeks

May 16, 2012 - Things have been crazy around here! So many projects around the house and work has been very busy for me because of a project we are doing at a local park. It has been a couple weeks since I have posted and I apologize for that. Now is the time that the photos of my belly start to look bigger every week.

26 Weeks
It is amazing to look down and see it grow from one day to the next. Some days I think I can really tell a difference from one day to the next too! It is such an amazing thing. Our little girl is moving around a lot. When we rub my belly, you can pretty much tell where she is situated.

Sunday was Mother's Day and we spent some time with Justin's mom and my mom on Sunday. Justin also gave me a gift for Mother's Day. I got a gift certificate to get a massage and he also gave me a wind chime. I just love the way those sound. The day was very nice and I got a chance to see my brother and his family.

The past few weeks we have been pretty busy around our house. We have been planting flowers and veggies outside. Justin is finishing up work on the shed. He got the sprinkler system going and he has been really busy mowing the lawn about three times a week which to me seems like a lot. He enjoys doing it though.

Baby's Room
We have also had some company over the past few days helping us complete the painting in the baby's room. Larry and Geralyn have been here the past few days helping us paint. We got it done, but there is some touch up work that we need to complete on the striped wall. Here is is though. Hope you all enjoy it. I just love the colors and the striped wall. I think it looks really cool and it is going to look even better with our little babes in there! She is going to love it! Thank you so much Larry and Geralyn for all the work you have done to help us with the room. WE LOVE IT!

Next week we will be in our third trimester. Wow time flies when you're having fun. Our day will be here soon! See you back here in a week or so.

24 Weeks and Feeling Great!

May 2, 2012 - We had our 24 week appointment this week and everything is looking good. I have gained 4 pounds since the last visit to the doctor which ends up averaging about 1 pound a week. The doctor was very happy about that. Everything is looking good so far though. We have another ultrasound in 4 weeks to look at the placenta again. Keep us in your thoughts that it moves!

24 Weeks

I have been feeling very good lately. The only thing that has been bothering me is my back and my inner legs when I go for long walks for exercise. I assume this is just part of the process because I never had problems before walking or exercising. It is really only when I walk. The elliptical treats me well, so I just need to start using that more often.

This week I have been getting a lot more heartburn/acid reflux. Since I have had problems with this for most of my adult life, the doctor said if it gets to be a regular thing I just need to start taking medication daily. I don't think I am at that point yet and want to give it a week or so before I start taking anything.

Justin just painted the ceiling of the baby's room tonight. We will work on the rest of the walls soon. His dad and Geralyn will most likely come to help with the rest of the walls. I am sure they all just love my idea with the stripes on the wall!

Milo's excited to meet baby

This weekend is opening weekend of fishing, so Justin is going fishing up north with his brother and cousins. I will be here in town working on a project for work. Our young professionals group is installing a trail that parents can take their kids to for learning and fun at the same time. It will be a busy weekend, but I will not be doing any of the heavy lifting! I will be there more to do the lighter work and to take pictures.

This is all my jabber for tonight! We will be back in a week to post some more pictures.

The Cutest Yawn Ever!

April 28, 2012 - So we had another ultrasound this week and we have some more adorable pictures and a video to share! Oh and we had the tech double check to make sure she is still a girl and she is! You know what that means...next project will be painting the baby's room! YAY! That will be so fun...well probably more fun for me than for Justin. :-)

Here are a few pictures.

Look at her little legs - She looks comfy in there!
What a cute profile

Here is the most adorable video I have ever seen. Watch closely and you will see our little girl yawn. I played it over and over again. You can even see her stretch her arms. How absolutely adorable. I love it!

Overall though the baby looks to be healthy. My placenta has not moved, so I am still on a weight restriction. We have our regular appointment next week Tuesday, so we will know more then. I have the attitude that whatever is meant to be will be, but please say your prayers that it moves.

The cool thing about all of this is that we will have to have another ultrasound! It is really fun watching her grow in there. It is amazing how much her little legs have grown.

We cannot wait to meet our little girl!

Baby Girl is Moving Around - 22 Weeks

April 19, 2012 - The past week has been very good. I am feeling great, although I have been feeling more tired lately. We are at 22 weeks and I can proudly say that I am starting to show more and more every day. I love looking down at my belly and seeing it get bigger knowing that a little miracle is growing in there.

22 Weeks
My mom and I went shopping last weekend and I bought some of my first maternity clothes. I found some nice jeans that I like so that makes me happy! Dress clothes for work were pretty easy to find. I am also very thankful for having such wonderful friends who have borrowed me some of their clothes and even went out and bought me maternity shirts they found while shopping. Thank you so much Ali and Morgan. I am so lucky to have such wonderful people in my life! I know I will be coming to you a lot in the future asking for your advice.

The baby's movement has been much more noticeable. I can feel her moving every day...actually I can feel her moving around right now as I type. I think she is trying to tell everyone HELLO! The other day in a meeting I glanced down at my belly and saw it move when she kicked. That was so neat to see. This really is such an amazing feeling.

Overall though I have been feeling good. I am starting to have some round ligament pain as the baby grows. It is not too bad though. It comes and goes. I feel like my personality has been a little sassy lately...I am sure Justin could comment on this better! It is all in good fun and I think it is hilarious. I make myself laugh every day.

I just want to end by saying that I am so thankful that I am having such a wonderful pregnancy so far. I pray that it continues for the next 18 weeks.

21 Weeks

April 9, 2012 - It has been a couple weeks since our last post. We are at 21 weeks now! Over half way through. Amazing how fast, but yet how slow the time seems to go by.

21 Weeks
Not a lot has changed over the past couple weeks. We had our 20 week appointment last week. It was the shortest appointment that we have been to so far. The doctor said that everything is looking good. We go back for another ultrasound on April 24 to check the placement of my placenta, so we are hoping that looks better.

This week I have noticed that my belly has started to look more pregnant (as you can tell from the picture for this week)! My clothes are finally to the point where I am unable to button them. My pants still fit me, but I cannot button the waistband, so technically they don't fit me! My friend Ali borrowed me her belly band which has worked awesomely and allows me to get some more use out of my regular clothes. Yesterday was the first day I put on a pair of maternity pants! It felt good especially after all the food I ate yesterday for Easter.

Overall I am feeling pretty good. This morning I had insomnia and laid in bed from 3:30 am - 5:30 am wishing I could fall back asleep, but that didn't happen. So I got up! Justin woke up then too and said "well I guess we should get use to getting up this early anyways." In a few more months we won't be getting 8 hours of sleep a night I am guessing. :-)

I don't think pregnancy brain has kicked in yet (Justin seems to think it has though!), but yesterday I almost lost phone. I thought I lost it somewhere and could not find it. I thought for sure it was going to be in some random place like the fridge and Justin would find that hilarious, but it was in the garage on the floor. Thank goodness for the find my iPhone app. That worked awesomely. I am sure we will use that app again soon!

I will end on this note...we picked out colors for the nursery - Sherwin Williams colors Shagreen, Lotus Flower, Muslin and Pottery Urn - We like this pattern from Sherwin Williams as well. We will do three walls green with the stripes on one wall similar to the photo on the left.
