Boy or Girl?

March 27, 2012 - Well we had our ultrasound yesterday and were able to find out the sex of the baby....looks like we are going to have a LITTLE BABY GIRL! How exciting! I was sure it was going to be a boy, but I could not be happier. The baby looks healthy and that is number one!

Baby Girl

I was told I have placenta previa right now which means that my placenta is close to my cervix. I have to go back in a month to get another ultrasound to see if it has moved up. The nurse said that it should move up and in most cases she has seen it has moved up to where it is supposed to be, but if it doesn't I will have to have a c-section. We are not going to worry about it right now because a lot can happen in a month, so let's all keep our fingers crossed that it moves. We will keep you posted. For the next month, I cannot lift, push, or pull anything more than 20 pounds. Poor Milo...I won't even be able to lift him for an entire month. :-(

Besides that things are great! We set up the baby's crib the other day. I know it is super early, but we were bored and we emptied out the babies room so we set it up to give us inspiration for planning the room.

18 Weeks

March 18, 2012 - We just got back from our honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic this past week. It was a great vacation! So nice to relax on the beach and soak up the sun. Justin and I had a great time together. It was a beautiful place. The beaches were endless.

We went parasailing one day and then on a catamaran another day. The parasailing was completely safe, so don't worry. It was nice and smooth. I think Justin and I are happy to be back though. We were ready to eat some normal food. Some days the food was great, but others were not. They had a lot of seafood which I could not eat. Overall the trip was fantastic.

We are so excited to find out if baby is a boy or a girl. March 26 is the big day! I have still been feeling great. I have not felt any kicks or movement yet, but if I did feel something I would probably chalk it up to gas. Hopefully I will feel something soon. I am really excited for that to happen too!

17 Weeks

18 Weeks

Here are some pictures to share with you of my 17 week and 18 week photo.The 17 week photo was taken on the beach in Punta Cana in front of our resort. There is a ship wreck right in front of our resort that you can sort of see in the photo to the left.






My 18 week photo was taken back at home. There is not much of a difference between the two, but a pretty big difference from the first one!

Right now the baby is the size of a bell pepper! Can't wait to meet the baby. We are almost half way there. WOW this is going to go by so fast.

Baby H on Vacation

March 6, 2012 - First of all I am super excited to say that we have our ultrasound March 26 to find out if baby is a boy or a girl. I cannot wait to find out! One week after we get back. Time is going to fly by so fast while we are on vacation.

So we are off! Baby H is going on his/her first vacation to Punta Cana! Baby can't enjoy the scenery yet, but it will be a special time for Justin and I to share while pregnany with our first baby!  It's our honeymoon turned babymoon!


Can't wait to relax on the beach.

Look at how beautiful this place is. 40 miles of beaches here we come!

4 Months!

March 4, 2012 - This week marks four months. The baby is the size of an avocado. Baby has also started to hear things more and more in recent weeks, so we have been doing things like reading and singing to baby. I've read that hearing noises like the door bell ringing or the dog barking helps them learn to sleep through things like that after they are born, so I am trying to make Milo bark as much as possible so baby is used to that later on!

16 weeks

So far I have gained back about 2 pounds after dropping 4-5 early in the pregnancy. We have our 16 week appointment tomorrow, so we will find out the exact weight gain then. My pants are fitting tighter this week and I can tell my belly is sticking out a little more than before. It is such a wonderful feeling.

I have been feeling great the past few weeks. I have been getting headaches almost daily, but today I felt great. My parents came down to visit this afternoon and we had a lovely relaxing day.

Justin and I go on our honeymoon Tuesday. I am excited to relax on the beach with a good book and my awesome husband sitting next to me!
