Bailey and Alyssa wanted to check out House on the Rock. Obviously Averie is too young to have fun there, but she really was a content little girl the entire time we were gone. She hardly slept, but was as happy as can be. She loved looking at the lights and the movement of things. She had fun with Bailey and Alyssa. You can tell when they are together that she really enjoys being around them. They make her smile and laugh! Bailey and Alyssa seem to enjoy her presence as well. The whole thing is just CUTE!
Since we were not that far from Madison my mom and I decided just to get a hotel in Madison and then go to the Madison Children's Museum the next morning. We stayed at the Doubletree downtown and were pleasantly surprised to find out that we had access to unlimited chocolate chip cookies while we were there! They were so yummy! I will definitely stay there again. Bailey and Alyssa went swimming that night and again in the morning. They love being in the water.
It was a fun couple of days. We were both pretty pooped out. Saturday we visited Justin's mom for her birthday. Averie had a nice time playing with her grandma and grandpa and got some cool stuff from their trip!
Sunday we hosted Easter at our house for my parents and Justin's dad. I made a turkey for the first time by myself with some help from Justin. It was a fun day and the food was great. Averie had fun playing with her grandparents. She got an Easter basket from grandma B and some cool new shades! Thanks Grams! It was a lovely Easter weekend with family.
Now let's all just hope that this snow goes away soon. Justin's wants to take his new toy out on the water. There is lots of boat time that needs to take place soon. We are all going stir crazy!
Happy Spring Everyone!
Oh I almost forgot...I was accepted into grad school starting in the fall at UWSP for Communication! I am so excited!
